Artist Statement:
My goal is to have the viewer step into my world of broken branches, ruins, decaying flowers and classical perfection and be exposed to the memory of another world where time stood still.
Photography has always been a truly private exploration of the inner regions/dimensions of the mind that music and the written word of literature touches. Like a passage from Proust, the image should resonate with memory, releasing the touch of the soft light of an early morning, nostalgia for happiness or love, and/or visions of heaven. I find passion and challenges in old world charms, museums castles, architectural or decaying ruins or the deep forest. I am basically recording the memory of a civilization that is fogged in the past.
Each entry has been shot and then gracefully altered through the delicate hand-coloring techniques employed to create a rich, dreamscape ΓΆ€“ a pale and lush palette that recalls a faded remembrance of beauty ΓΆ€“ simple rhymic gestures ΓΆ€“ fragments of time.
